Windows, Doors & Siding in La Center, WA

A small town on the East Fork of the Lewis River with a lot of acreage around it. The house, the shop and the barn all need weather-tight openings, and we do all three.

La Center is the smallest city IE Pro Exteriors works in and the one with the most variety per square mile. The compact downtown off exit 16 has older houses on small lots, the kind with wood windows and lap siding that have been repainted a dozen times. Around it, along Timmen Road, up toward the East Fork and out the county roads, the properties are acreage: a house, a shop, often a barn, sometimes a manufactured home, each with its own windows and doors and its own way of letting the weather in.

That variety changes how we quote. On an acreage property the shop is often the building the owner cares about most, and it takes the same window and door products as the house and needs the same flashing. A barn door or a shop slider that has racked is a carpentry job. A manufactured home has windows in a different size standard, and some openings can be reframed to take a standard unit while others are replaced like for like. We walk every building on the visit and quote each one, and the visit is free.

Inside the city limits, permits go through the City of La Center; outside them, which is most of the acreage, Clark County reviews the work. Same-size window and door replacement generally does not need a permit. A changed opening, a new window in a shop wall, or a patio cover on the house does, and the county handles those. There is no trip charge for La Center; it is on the same I-5 run as Ridgefield and about twenty-five minutes from our office.

What We Do Most in La Center

House, Shop and Barn Openings

Windows and doors on every building on the property, quoted separately. The black-frame windows on the log wall in the photo above are the kind of opening a rural build asks for.

Siding on Older Downtown Homes

Cedar and hardboard patched and matched around replaced windows on the small-lot houses near downtown, or re-sided in fiber cement where the old boards have gone.

Patio Covers With Room to Build

Acreage lots have the space for a good-sized attached cover. Framed to the house, flashed into the wall, and permitted through the county.

Exterior Painting

Whole houses and outbuildings, prepped and painted in the dry months, with rotten trim replaced first.

Everything else we do is on the services page.

Acreage Properties Along the East Fork

A property with three buildings on it has three sets of problems. The house usually has the newest windows and the best flashing. The shop was built to be dry inside and has a window or two that were never flashed properly, because it was a shop. The barn has a door that has racked out of square and a window that has been broken and boarded since the previous owner. We look at all of it, and we are as happy to fix the shop as the house.

The rural location also means the wind has a clear run at the buildings. A window on the exposed side of a shop takes weather the same way an east wall in Washougal does, and it is flashed the same way: sill pan, lapped side and head flashing, tied into whatever weather barrier the building has or a new one we add around the opening.

Downtown La Center

The older houses near the river and the downtown blocks are small-lot carpentry work: wood double-hung windows with rotten sills, lap siding that has been patched around them before, and trim profiles that have to be matched. Where a window is worth repairing we repair it; where it is past that we replace it full-frame in a unit that suits the age of the house, and we match the siding and paint so the change does not show.

These jobs are close together, so we can often measure two or three on one visit. Call and tell us the address.

What Our Customers Say

Rated 5.0 across 25 Google reviews. Every quote below was left by an IE Pro Exteriors customer on Google and is shown word for word.

We recently hired IE Pro Exteriors for two very different window projects and couldn't be happier. First, they saved us a significant amount of money on a large formal living room window by replacing the glass insert rather than the entire frame. The results are perfect.

Second, they handled a shattered garage window where I wanted to change the design entirely. Izak and Eric did an incredible job framing it for a smaller, functional slider window. They matched the exterior siding so seamlessly that its hard to tell it isn’t original to the house.

Beyond the great craftsmanship, Izak and Eric were true professionals. They even took the initiative to repair our sticking fence gate while they were there. Highly recommend them for any window work.

IE Pro Exteriors is the real deal. Family-owned and operated, and it shows in the way they work—honest, hardworking, and detail-oriented from start to finish. These guys don’t cut corners; they take pride in what they do and treat your home like it’s their own.

We worked with them on exterior projects, and whether it’s windows, siding, painting, or patio covers, they absolutely deliver. Professional, respectful, on time, and easy to work with—and somehow still fun to have around while they’re getting the job done.

If you want quality work from good people who actually care about the result (and your sanity), IE Pro Exteriors is the call. Highly recommend to anyone looking to upgrade their home’s exterior.
